Customer Service in Higher Education: A Key to Student Retention and Success

The official launch of the CTLPA Jamaica Chapter took place on November 6th, 2008 at the Mico University College. Approximately 30 persons were in attendance at the launch, which also included a general meeting. Current chapter membership stands at approximately thirty-three (33) persons (including its executive body).

The Jamaica Chapter hosted a workshop themed, “Customer Service in Higher Education: A Key to Student Retention and Success” on February 11th, 2009 at the Runaway Bay HEART Hotel in St. Ann. The guest presenter was Mrs. Ilsa H. DuVerney, Chairman/CEO, CARI-CODE. Thirty-eight participants (representing 10 tertiary insti-tutions from across the is-land) were in attendance.
